A situation for dancing

The premiere of – a situation for dancing was staged this February in New York’s Dance Theater Workshop. The project defined by its authors Antonija Livingstone and Heather Kravas as ''choreography conversation'' and designed as a duet in four parts, deals with evil in all its representational forms. One of these parts is related to the conditions under which the dancers, who started their collaboration three years ago, work together; namely: sporadically, at a distance, and initially without any tangible objective. Thus the simplicity of their vocabulary of movement and repeating sequences is ruthless, and occasionally irritating to audiences.
